Well, well! IV therapies have become the go-to bridal essential glow-up that you require before your big day or sometimes even during your festivities. From acting like the ultimate skincare champions that will forever show in your wedding photographs (well, isn’t that the ultimate goal!?) to nutrient suppliers or hangover cures and more, this medically approved technique that intravenously supplies the required nutrients and vitamins for your skin, hair, nails and other aesthetically revitalizing treatments. Moreover, they even help in detoxification, stress relief, migraines, and more. Today, an increasing number of brides are being recommended to take glutathione intravenously as it helps in skin whitening.
With barely a month left to her wedding, Mumbai-based bride-to-be, Vidhi Shah, consulted skincare expert Dr. Faguni Shah, who runs Radiance Skincare, for her deep acne scars and skin brightening treatments. Letting us in on her regime, she quipped, “Apart from the dietary changes and a few other approaches like PRP, I am currently taking IV drops with Glutathione and vit C. I automatically feel fresher and see a noticeable difference in my immunity, which has also revived my skin health.”
HydraFacial Therapy

HydraFacial treatment refers to a professional skincare regime that includes an amalgamation of several steps, namely, cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration, elevating the overall appeal and health of the skin. While cleansing helps to remove dirt, oil, and makeup, dead skin cells are gently eradicated using the microdermabrasion technique during exfoliation. Following this second step, a suction extracts impurities from clogged pores. Finally, the skin is infused with skin-boosting serums like antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.

Having tied the knot in the last week of February, Seattle-based finance maven Aishwarya Chaturvedi, who met her now husband on a dating app over two years back, found this modality extremely rejuvenating. She shared, “Regular HydraFacials in the months before my wedding made my skin feel hydrated, smooth, and absolutely glowing. It was one of the best self-care decisions I made as a bride.” Call it soul pampering for the skin; HydraFacials are often used in conjunction with other prescribed treatments to expedite your dermatological wellness.
Another newbie bride, who loved every bit of her calming HydraFacial, excitedly claimed, ” While the pain-free microneedling brought some redness to my face, initially, I could spot the difference after almost a week. The HydraFacial truly accentuated its healing and my skin health, leaving it feeling super-hydrated and plump. Following my dermatologist’s advice, I got it done almost a fortnight before the wedding, and the end result is there for all to see. Internally too, I couldn’t stop smiling with its brilliant efficacy.”
Imbuing some much needed Vitamin H, aka, hydration, healing and a healthy glow, this winner gives it all in a single sitting.
PRP Facial

While this may not be a disclaimer to the good old Twilight fans (we sense the cringe, but just had to!), PRP (platelet-rich plasma), popularly referred to as “vampire facials,” refers to a cosmetic procedure that utilizes a person’s own blood to fasten collagen production and ameliorate skin texture, tone, and appearance that helps prevent wrinkles, scars, and triggers of aging.
This procedure starts by drawing a small amount of blood from the patient. The blood is then processed in a centrifuge to separate the constituents amounting to the platelet-rich plasma from the remainder of the blood. This PRP is then injected back into the targeted areas of the face that are determined upon. This natural stimulant, which is rich in growth factors stimulates the body’s natural healing processes leading to the desired results.

Taking a deep-dive healing approach that included several dermatological approaches ahead of her wedding last November, Boston-based Priti Gill Patel did three rounds of PRP facials, along with two sessions of the above- mentioned HydraFacial. While corresponding, she told us, “I saw a significantly big difference in my skin with this stellar combination, but it was the PRP facial that truly worked the best for me. My pores looked way smaller, and my skin looked wholesome and brighter with a reduction in dark spots. I would definitely recommend this to 2025 brides.”
Carbon Laser Treatment

Being glued to wellness and skincare beauty trends, you may be aware of terms like ‘China Doll Lazer Facial, ‘Charcoal Black Doll Facial,’ or the ‘Hollywood Peel.’ They all connote to the trailblazing, non-invasive, and painless Carbon Laser Facials that virtually require no prep time and help to restore your skin’s youthful vibrance. This modality involves using a laser to exfoliate and cleanse the skin, leaving it refreshed and as good as new.
To help you understand more about the same, first, a thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the face. Next, the laser targets and vapourizes the carbon particles, resulting in exfoliation, thereby removing dead skin cells, impurities, and excess oil. Furthermore, as a plus side, this laser also fosters collagen production, which increases skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Even our bride, Vidhi, unanimously agreed, adding, “My skin feels brighter and lifelike.”

A pioneer in this field, renowned and celebrity aesthetician, Jamuna Pai has revolutionized similar processes and how. Testifying to their magical results, Aastha Gupta, who got married over a year ago, tried her luxurious bridal ritual treatment that truly had her feeling pampered. She shared, “Having returned barely a week from the U.S. before her wedding festivities kickstarted in Rajasthan, I opted for their head to toe glowing treatments which included a deep-rooted facial that also constituted microdermabrasion and an uplifting Oxyblast treatment that did wonders to my acne-prone skin making me feel like my best self on my wedding day”.
Microneedling

Microneedling, dubbed the wedding season’s it-girl cosmetology trend, involves tiny punctures in your skin’s top layers made by the aesthetician using fine needles. Collagen-induced therapy promotes the production of healthy proteins like collagen and elastin, which help maintain the elasticity of the skin. It alleviates the body’s natural healing process. In addition to reducing wrinkles and fine lines, microneedling improves skin texture and tone, treats acne or other deep scars, cleans clogged pores, and fosters thick, healthy hair growth.

Considering it magic, singer-songwriter Vedika Agarwal, who goes by the artist name Avida Official, vouches for its efficacy. Delving into her experience, she quipped, “I did RF microneedling treatment to help lessen my deeper scars and post-acne marks. I will admit that the process was a little painful, but its effect amplified every single day. Not only did it bring a glow to my skin, but it also genuinely lightened the marks in just a single sitting, making my skin look extremely healthy. To be honest, I think it was worth it.” Going back to the basics, she further added, “With the help of a certified nutritionist, I also went on a clean diet, which drastically reduced inflammations and outbreaks, especially during such a hectic phase in my life. “

Citing her real-life example, recently married Bhumi Rathod who relished a spa-equating experience at the luxurious, Cosmo Secrets Medical Center in Al Barsha, Dubai, mentioned, ” Apart from an enlivening hydrafacial, filled with deep cleansing and hydrating masks, I opted for Light therapy before my wedding, and I must say, the experience was amazing and worth every penny! The process was relaxing, painless, and even meditative, making my skin feel refreshed afterward. The warm, gentle light soothed my skin, and I could almost feel it working beneath the surface. After the treatment, my skin looked noticeably brighter, smoother, evenly toned, plumper, deeply moisturized, and replete with a beautiful, dewy glow that lasted for days. The esthetician mentioned that continued sessions would help with collagen production, fine lines, and overall skin rejuvenation.”
Botox

Thinking about tightening your skin and getting Botox before your wedding? A popular treatment that’s been around for over a decade, Botox uses botulinum toxin injections, which temporarily relax your facial muscles and evens out wrinkles and fine lines. While this skincare-approved technique is minimally invasive, some brides may experience a slight pinching sensation while receiving the injectables. It has been observed that results fully align with your face within one to two weeks. However, to maintain its youthful and energizing vigour, you need to maintain this treatment protocol as per your physician’s advice.
Our previously cited bride, Priti Gill, also did Botox on her frontalis muscle and deep glabellar lines that are present between your brows and popularly known as the “dreaded 11’s”. And this is what she had to say: “Apart from indulging in HydraFacial and taking glutathione, I decided to opt for Botox as I have a larger forehead, and I’m quite conscious about it. With this, I definitely felt that my fine lines had decreased. Following my cosmetologist’s suggestion in the U.S., I did this treatment 1-2 months before the wedding.”
Evolved, yet distinct, dermal fillers have also received acclaimed in recent times. Using the same ideology, dermal fillers also constitute a non-surgical procedure, which involves injecting gel-like substances under the skin for similar aesthetic concerns.
