But this time, it wasn’t his cricketing skills but his hilarious marital advice at a wedding that had everyone talking.
A video of Dhoni at a wedding has gone viral, where he’s seen offering cheeky life tips to groom Utkarsh Sanghvi in his signature cool style. The moment, light-hearted and full of laughter, is being loved online, with fans now jokingly dubbing him a ‘marriage counselor’.
Standing on stage with the newlyweds, Dhoni looked at the groom and quipped, “Kuch log aag se khelna pasand karte hain, yeh unmein se hai (Some people like to play with fire, he’s one of them).” That one line had the crowd in splits but he wasn’t done yet. With his trademark grin, Dhoni added, “It doesn’t matter if you’ve won the World Cup or not, after marriage, all husbands are in the same condition.”
When he turned to the groom again and said, “If you think your wife is different, then you’re thinking wrong,” Utkarsh chuckled and replied, “Yes, mine is not different!” The audience erupted in laughter and applause at the candid exchange.
Dhoni also gave the bride, Dhvani Kanungo, some heartfelt advice, reminding her to stay calm during arguments, since “men usually cool down in five minutes.” He wrapped up with a warm wish for their future, congratulating them on their new journey together.
